Wine Advocate 94-97

“Firm and dense, very tight”…the 2012 Dirt Worshipper has serious potential, and is probably the best vintage of the cuvee to date. A blend of 95% Syrah, 3% Viognier and 2% Roussanne, it has fabulous cassis, vanilla bean, pepper, bacon fat and licorice flowing seamlessly to a full-bodied, rich, concentrated and pure feel on the palate. Showing Old World-like aromatics and Cali richness on the palate, it’s a gorgeous Syrah that should not be missed! – Jeb Dunnuck

Vinous  92-94

“The 2012 Dirt Worshipper emerges from a collection of Central Coast sites, with an increasing emphasis on cooler, coastal microclimates. Lavender, violets, plums and sweet spices are some of the many notes that jump from the glass in a nuanced, drop-dead gorgeous wine loaded with class. The 2012 is 95% Syrah with dollops of Viognier and Roussanne. The 50% whole clusters are nearly imperceptible. Drink: 2014-2022.” Antonio Galloni
