“Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color, bursting with perfumed notions of crushed blackcurrants, wild blueberries, Morello cherries and red roses, plus suggestions of wild sage, mossy bark and lilacs. The palate is medium to full-bodied and elegantly styled with a finely knit structure of firm, ripe tannins and refreshing bright fruit sparks, finishing wonderfully nuanced and minerally. Thomas Rivers Brown is the consulting winemaker behind these wines that have scored incredibly well in the first few vintages that I have tasted. Production is relatively small at just under 300 cases.
